Casa di "Hari's" — Restaurant in Municipality of Rethymnon

We had a really nice lunch. When we arived we had a fresh juice from another store with us. The really friendly waittress, Dora, offered to add new ice to cool the drinks even if they weren't their drinks. As for food the two of us shared the house salad and burger. Which was a really good combination. The burger was delicious juicy meat with a good combination of sauces. It is a burger that definitely will still your hunger. When shared with the salad it makes a filling lunch that gives new energy to explore the town. The staff really knows how to please their customer's, but will also help the lost tourists looking for the harbour which is just around the corner ;) We're hoping we can plan our trip that we can eat here again tomorrow to try the supposedly even more...

This was maybe our number one disappointment, though i should have known by the pictures of the pizza. It is basically a loaf of bread, not pizza dough, and is definitely not cooked in a wood oven like they say. It is clear even from looking at the kitchen! The pizza indeed also felt like it had been frozen beforehand.

We had the grilled vegetables too which were okay, however the service was dreadful. The teenage girls had no clue what they were doing, kept messing up or order in every step, even bringing the wrong water, and in the end the manager had to come and change the price of our check which was all off. It also took almost an hour to get our food, which for pizza and a few grilled vegetables in a restaurant half empty seemed...

I very rarely write restaurant reviews but this restaurant really deserves it. We went there with my partner and our little boy for dinner when visiting Rethymno. The pizza was very good but what really got us was the service. Very efficient and respectful - after we asked for the bill, the server asked whether we are in rush and would want to pay straight away, or we have few spare minutest to try their on-the-house dessert and Greek alcohol. We really valued that because staying for another 15-20 mins with a tired 3-year old isn't always possible (something we experienced in other restaurants during the trip).

Thank you Casa di Hari's team for having us! We will definitely be back when visiting Crete again...
